The Hinge Health app is downloading very slowly, or won’t download at all

iOS (iPhone or iPad)

If you’re having trouble downloading the Hinge Health app, the best first step is to ensure your iPhone or iPad is connected to a WiFi network, via the following instructions:

  1. Open ‘Settings’ on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Tap ‘Wi-Fi’, then toggle Wi-Fi to ‘ON’.

  3. From the list of wireless networks, select the name of your network.

  4. You will be prompted to enter the case-sensitive password for your wireless network. Upon entering the password, tap ‘Join’.

  5. Your device should now be connected to WiFi. You can confirm that your device is connected to WiFi if it shows a blue checkmark next to your wireless network name.

No WiFi? No problem. If you are unable to connect to your network or do not have access to a wireless network, you can utilize the cellular data on your device (if you can) to access the Hinge Health app.

If you would like to do this, open Settings on your device, then tap ‘Cellular’, and toggle it to ‘ON’. Then scroll down on the same page to where the App Store is listed, and ensure the toggle next to this is set to ‘ON’.

Still can’t download the app? Some of our members have reported their Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Pi-Hole blocks access to our app. If your device is connected to a VPN or Pi-Hole, please adjust its settings or temporarily disable it.

If you do not remember your wireless network name/password or are unable to successfully connect your device to a wireless network, we recommend reaching out to your Internet Service Provider for expert WiFi troubleshooting that is specific to your router and network.
