Is Hinge Health really covered by my employer? Is there any cost to me?

Who is eligible to join? How do I join?

Employees are eligible for Hinge Health. Joining is straightforward – if you require assistance with back or joint pain, scroll down and click the link at the bottom of this page. You’ll then go through a short questionnaire (about 10 minutes) to create your account and ensure Hinge Health is a good fit for you.

We may determine that you are not able to join if we cannot confirm your eligibility, or if you are restricted from or need physical support to exercise.

How does the programme work?

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll download the Hinge Health app from the [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/hinge-health/id1429270372) or [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hingehealth.phoenix) and complete a few steps to personalise your programme to your pain and needs. We’ll then provide you with 10–15-minute exercise sessions in the app. These are tailored to your mobility, strength and pain, and will adapt as you continue to improve.

During each exercise session, you will have the option to use Motion Insights, our smart camera technology, to receive real-time feedback on your form. This ensures you can always move confidently and get the most out of your exercises.

You’ll also have access to a comprehensive library of educational resources developed by pain experts and physiotherapists, integrating the latest scientific research with tried-and-tested clinical expertise to assist you in reducing your pain.

What is the time commitment?

We ask you to dedicate 15 minutes at least 3 times a week to alleviate your pain. You can always do your exercises every day if you like – in fact, many members do because they find it controls their pain better. Fortunately, our digital format means you can complete your exercises wherever and whenever works best for you, and advance at your own pace.

What do I need for my exercise sessions?

You'll need the Hinge Health app, available for download from the [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/hinge-health/id1429270372) or [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hingehealth.phoenix), and a comfortable place to exercise (don't worry if it's not the ideal space, it only needs to be practical). For some exercises you may need a chair or table for support, in which case the app will let you know.

Can I work on multiple joints or areas at the same time? What if I have pain in multiple places?

Yes! When you join, you’ll be able to inform us of all the areas of your body where you’re experiencing pain. Your programme will then be tailored to address pain in each of these areas.

What kind of results can I expect?

Hinge Health members typically begin to experience pain relief and improved mobility within a few weeks.
