Your care team consists of a personal physical therapist and board certified or accredited health coach.
How do I apply for the program?
Click the Join Program button to begin the application process. We’ll ask you about your pain and other medical conditions to make sure we’re a good fit. This entire process only takes about 10 minutes.
Who is eligible?
Employees and dependents enrolled in the IUOE Local 4 Health and Welfare Plan are eligible. You will go through a clinical questionnaire to make sure our program is the right fit. But as a general rule, if you’ve had pain for more than 12 weeks this year, the program is for you! You and your spouse/partner and dependents ages 18+ are eligible to join as long as Hinge Health is covered by your employer or health insurance plan. So first be sure you’re covered.
Second, we’ll ask you to fill out a questionnaire (it takes about 10 minutes). We use your information to create your account and make sure Hinge Health is a good fit for you. We may determine you’re not able to join if your questionnaire or insurance information is incomplete, or if you are restricted from or need physical support to exercise.
How does the program work?
We set you up with your own personal care team and mail you a free kit with wearable sensors. The sensors will allow you to follow the exercises displayed on the app, showing you how to move and adjust your body in real-time. The programs are made up of 15 minute playlists that you work through 3 times per week, are tailored to your abilities and pain, and adapt as you continue to improve. Your care team consists of a personal physical therapist and board certified or accredited health coach. They will help tailor the program to you and act as an unlimited resource!
What kind of results can I expect?

What is the science behind the program?
Virtually all major medical bodies, including the CDC and American Orthopedic Association, recommend exhausting non-surgical treatments for chronic pain before considering surgery, as many studies have shown that these can dramatically reduce pain. Our program packages these treatments together, and our results often surpass previous studies.
